So... it's been pretty silent on here for a WHILE. Figured I should post some of the stuff I've been working on since graduating last year. The gator guy was designed by my friend Dionne Phua and his shack house by Jason Pruett. I'm not quite happy with the ZBrushing on the gator yet, so I'll probably mess around with it a little more. The layout in general is about there, but also needs a few minor tweaks [like the gator's pose], which I'm very open to critique for!

The giraffe is from my alternate thesis idea I didn't end up using back in my junior year in college. I hated where the story was taken, but loved the visuals. I'll eventually model the stylized flat environment and place him in it as well. For now though, I was just beefing up my modeling portfolio, so now onto UVing, texturing, and lighting!

Indoor Thesis Environment

So, I think I finally finished my indoor environment. I may add a few more pipes in the background, but it's essentially done. Here are a few quick renders of the three-story high boiler room and my character's small living environment. The coal piles will look more like actual coal once I take them into mudbox or zbrush next semester.
